Man in Love - Scott Sebastian is a liar. Fitting, since I'm a liar too. Yet there's no place for me in his glittering world of half-truths. With all our secrets in the open, I should stop trying. What I've learned should send me running far away. I can’t keep pining for a man in love if I’m not the woman he’s in love with. But it's not that easy to escape the Sebastians. I already knew they owned this city. Now I'll find out if they also own their son.
|Title||:||Man in Love|
Loved the story. Hated having to buy three books to get it. Would’ve gave it five stars if it wasn’t for that. One of my favorite stories I’ve read.
It was not my favorite book by this author
Laurelin Paige never disappoints, extremely talented authors.
Loved this series. When I first started reading it, I thought Scott was a pushy not standing up to his dad, but boy things have changed! Hot & sexy too!
This series really touched my heart! It was real and raw and full of life!
The finale of Scott and Tess’s tumultuous relationship. Man in Charge should be read first. I liked how Tess refused to be second in Scott’s life. Scott’s grandpa was a hoot. Added a bit of comic relief. Sexy,steamy read with heart. I liked how all the characters were cynical, yet still had hope.
Tessa is the working girl that is fierce in her role and in her friendships. She takes over a business deal for her runaway boss and a good friend. Scott is the rich guy that gets what he wants except for Tessa. Book two begins after a crazy twist and a jaw dropping cliffhanger. Tessa grows in her working girl to boss lady career. Kendra is the flaky friend. Scott has daddy dearest issues until he figures out his place in life. I love when arrogant alphas figure out what to do when their heart speaks. It’s another series with all the emotions by Laurelin Paige. #friendship #POTS #workinggirl #bosslady #alpha #twists #HEA
This book just came out today and oh my goodness YES! It was the perfect ending to the duet! Must read!
Wow, what can I say! I am trying to wrap my mind around what just happened in this book. I couldn’t wait to find out what happened from the first book—Man in Charge, which has to be read first. Laurelin Paige brought the angst, steam, tension, lust, betrayal, and lies—all to the forefront. While Tessa’s boss has been in hiding, Tess continued to work on getting the contract she worked so hard on getting signed. When Tess’s boss, Kenya returns from ‘finding herself’ she invites Tess to her parent’s home. Tess thinks that she and the arrogant, but sexy Scott Sebastian are building up a relationship, then BAM, all hell breaks loose. Tessa’s boss, Kenya, has a secret that is a BOMBSHELL—what a bombshell!! Will this cause ripples in Tessa and Kenya’s relationship—friend/employer/employee? Or how will this bombshell development affect Tess and Scott? Now, Scott has a lot of explaining to do! As they say, all is fair in love and war, and Tess is out for war! But life managed to tear them apart, and Scott shattered Tessa’s heart in a million little pieces in the process. Watch out Scott, this is a woman scorn! Their chemistry leaps off the page, and they were combustible. Scott and Tessa’s relationship certainly wasn’t an easy one. They will fascinate you and frustrate you at the same time. Lines will be crossed, secrets will be revealed, and will Tessa find out the truth about Scott? Their journey is full of deception, hurt, trust, and lies. Find out what happens between Scott and Tessa and Tessa and Kenya—see if there is any way they can rebound. Laurelin Paige have a lyrical way of writing, capturing the beauty and intensity of each moment. You won’t regret reading Man in Love or the Man in Charge Duet!
NO SPOILERS! Man in Love was amazing and I absolutely LOVED the conclusion to Scott and Tess’s story and the Man in Charge Duet! Laurelin Paige is a fantastic writer that has never failed to keep me riveted and entertained from start to finish. The continued storyline was even better than book one and had so many more twists and turns that kept me in suspense. I truly loved everything—well, almost everything—from beginning to end, and was super ecstatic with the outcome. It was definitely better than I hoped/anticipated it’d be. The characters were even more amazing this time around. I loved Scott and Tess, and felt an even deeper connection with them. Scott and Tess’s chemistry was electric and on fire, and I loved how their relationship progressed throughout. It was certainly rocky at times, which was understandable given the plot and circumstances, but I was extremely pleased with the ending and very much enjoyed experiencing this journey alongside them. Laurelin Paige did a phenomenal job with the entire Man in Charge Duet, especially Man in Love, and I would highly recommend Scott and Tess’s sexy, addicting, entertaining, and swoon-worthy MUST READ story! It’s the perfect escape and you don’t want to miss it!
Couldn’t put it down - Tess and Scott are hot, hot, smoking hot. And now I’m left anxiously awaiting Paige’s next book.
Scott and Tess’ journey is not without its bumps, some expected and others unexpected. I enjoy the way everything unfolded and how this author leaves nothing or very little open ended. That ending.....perfect! Well done!
Man in Love by Laurelin Paige is the final book in the Man in Charge duet and I loved it. After book one ended, I could not wait to get my hands on this one. We pick up right where we left off. You do need to read book 1 before this one, as is it is a continuation of Scott and Tess’s story. I continue to love Tess. She is a strong woman with conviction and loyalty. She stands up for herself and I just loved that. In this book, we get to see a softer side of Sebastian. He is still the alpha domineering man who always get what he wants that we met and loved in the first book but now there is so much more to him. He is strong, determined, charming, driven, but also caring. The chemistry between Scott and Tess is off the roof. It dripped from the pages. But now that all the secrets are out, what does that mean for them? They face so many obstacles, can they find a way to be together or was there always an end for them? I devoured this story and highly recommend the duet! Happy reading!
With the way the 1st book ended, I have been waiting impatiently to read this final book. That was one heck of a mess to get out of, and I had no idea how Scott was gonna do it. I never would have guessed what would happen next. I will admit that Scott lost some of the intensity in his character that I loved so much from the first book. He just came off so powerful and intense like my favorite characters Hudson and Donovan. The power his father had over him kind of took that away for me. I just felt Scott was untouchable in the first book. What I did love was how Scott wasn't afraid to admit his feelings for Tess and he put up one heck of a fight for her. That right there won me back over. I need to see the man chase the woman. Those are the relationship I just adore in my books. I loved how this all came together in the end and how Scott got rid of all the obstacles in his way of Tess. It was pretty romantic. The side story with her friends was a nice bonus as well.
This book was a roller coaster of emotions, and I am a woman in love with this book because of it! In my review for Man in Charge I said I wasn’t sure I felt anything for the characters until the end, but that definitely changed with this book. I felt so much for Tess at the beginning of this book; once things were explained I even felt for Scott. He felt different with her than he ever had before, and it made me smile. He even made me swoon! It was a good thing too, because hearing how much of a player he was before Tess was hurtful. Tess was a light in his monotonous existence, and I adored that. He was the happy ending she deserved after falling for guys who wouldn’t or couldn’t love her back. Their happy ending was not easy to achieve; I shed many tears for the heartbreaking decisions made throughout their journey. Both Tess and Scott had to go on their personal journeys as well, and I was glad to read it. Part of my emotional journey was hating on certain manipulative characters, being shocked at a certain plot point and loving Tess’s friend Teyana and Scott’s grandfather. As I said, Scott and Tess’s journey in this book was emotional for me, but it was worth every moment because I fell in love with them and this book! I highly recommend it! I requested and received an advanced copy of this ebook for my honest review that I am voluntarily leaving.
When we last saw Tess, she was staring at the back of a very familiar man wearing a well-fitted suit. She immediately felt chills up her spine and knew that her real life was about to collide with her secret life. Tess never thought Scott would really choose her because she felt he was still a player. She believed that Scott would always be ruled by his father and he would never be able to love the woman who had taken over his heart. Scott’s feelings for Tess never wavered in “Man in Love” -- except when it came to his past, which was something he had no control over. He was mesmerized by everything about her as if she had cast a spell on him. Scott tried desperately to shield Tess from his miserable father because he didn’t want his hatred to touch her and poison what they had together. He had to make a decision about his job, his family and his future, and he couldn’t let his father dictate to him anymore. Scott may have had the world at his fingertips, but the love of the right woman had always eluded him until that fateful night on the rooftop. Tess was a vision of beauty, feistiness and passion, and meeting her was the best day of his life. Tess made Scott feel that he could do anything and she showed him that life wasn’t all about money, merges and social connections. Scott realized that Tess brought out his courage, his passion and she showed him how wonderful it felt to be loved. Scott had finally met the woman he wanted to spend his life with and nothing would stand in the way of their happiness. She was his soulmate and he would do anything to make her his forever, no matter the consequences.
